Recently, ROYPOW announced a milestone with the successful deployment of its PowerFusion Series X250KT Diesel Generator Hybrid Energy Storage System (DG Hybrid ESS) at over 4,200 meters on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau in Tibet for a major national infrastructure project. This marks the highest-altitude deployment of a jobsite ESS to date, underscoring ROYPOW’s ability to deliver green, reliable, efficient power even in the most challenging high-altitude environments.
The major national infrastructure project, led by China Railway 12th Bureau Group Co., Ltd., is located over 4,200 meters above sea level and requires a reliable energy solution to power its stone crushing and sand production line, concrete mixing equipment, construction machinery, and living quarters. However, the remote jobsite lacks access to the utility grid, and conventional diesel generators have proven inefficient, consuming excessive fuel, performing unreliably in subzero climates, and producing considerable noise and emissions. After a strict, comprehensive evaluation, ROYPOW X250KT DG Hybrid ESS was chosen as the preferred solution, with an order totaling nearly 10 million RMB.
By intelligently coordinating the operation of the ESS and the DG and managing the DG running within the optimal load range of 60% to 80%, the ROYPOW X250KT DG Hybrid ESS helps reduce fuel consumption by 30% to 50%, significantly cutting fuel costs and lowering the carbon footprint. It also extends generator service life by minimizing wear and tear, eliminating the need for frequent maintenance. Additionally, with a compact, ultra-rugged structure, the ROYPOW solution can be deployed easily and flexibly in challenging plateau regions, delivering stable and reliable performance for critical operations and ensuring the uninterrupted progress of the major national infrastructure project.
ROYPOW sets a benchmark for jobsite energy in the harsh, high-altitude environments with advanced, green, and efficient diesel generator hybrid energy storage systems. Following on this success, a mining company has approached the ROYPOW team to discuss energy solutions for its mine construction and operations located at an average altitude of 5,400 meters in Tibet. The project is expected to deploy over 50 sets of ROYPOW DG Hybrid ESS units, marking another milestone in high-altitude power innovation.
Looking ahead, ROYPOW aims to drive further innovation in challenging conditions, supporting the sustainable future of the industry.
