he UL 2580 standard is a safety certification developed by Underwriters Laboratories (UL) specifically for lithium-ion batteries used in electric vehicles (EVs), including forklifts. It sets strict requirements to ensure that these batteries meet high standards for electrical, mechanical, and environmental safety. The standard covers various aspects, such as protection against overcharging, short circuits, mechanical impacts, and temperature fluctuations. It also evaluates the battery’s ability to resist shock and vibrations, ensuring safe performance even under demanding conditions. Being certified to the UL 2580 standard demonstrates that manufacturers meet regulatory requirements and industry standards and that their batteries have undergone thorough and rigorous testing.

In collaboration with UL Solutions, ROYPOW’s forklift lithium batteries have successfully passed comprehensive evaluations and tests based on the UL2580 standard. Additionally, given that the reliability of BMS (Battery Management System) is critical to overall battery system stability, especially in complex industrial environments, UL Solutions conducted a rigorous functional safety assessment of the BMS following the UL 60730 standard.
